In 2018 I watched a utube video by Terry White, a really great teacher of apple products. He was talking about the iPad Pro, the Apple Pencil, and procreate app. When he said, "this is a game changer", he got my attention. He described his switch from the Wacom tablet, which is a fun tool for drawing with a stylus to the incredible new Apple Pencil, combined with the latest iPad Pro, and the Procreate App. I used the Wacom tablet with photoshop and illustrator years ago, but since then have stuck with canvas and brush, or pencil and paper.
2018, enter the iPad Pro, iOS 11.3, and play, play, play, with it to learn what it can do as it relates to my own creative process down yet another "idea path" for me. The apple pencil responds immediately having no drag time. The procreate app is beyond amazing, and promises to get even better.
I hope to share the fun I am having with you, as I make progress with this "game changer". If you are an artist, check it out for yourself.
My progress and process with digital art is on my instagram #bettebowmanartist. I also posted my photo journal there.
I am slowly but surely learning each day along what I call "the idea path" that is named Create the Imperfect Website. I am celebrating imperfection, as in being human, and as in the beauty of a drawn line versus the one made with a ruler.
Time to check out my portfolio? It is under construction.
